Jim Sinclair has shared Christ’s ministry in The United Church of Canada in various roles.

These include time spent in ranching country on the Saskatchewan- Montana border (Wood Mountain), as well as in Canada’s Sub-Arctic (Schefferville, PQ) Quebec’s Eastern Townships (Cowansville) and in North Bay and Manitou Conference in Northern Ontario.

In addition to his work in the pastorate Jim has been heavily involved in supervised pastoral education, overseas experiences in Central America, South Africa and India and aboriginal issues in Canada. Most recently he served for five years as the General Secretary of the United Church’s General Council.

Donna Sinclair, a senior writer for The United Church Observer, has received awards for news, features and fiction. Her work has taken her overseas and to most regions of Canada. Now retired, she remains a contributing editor at the magazine.

Her latest books are The Spirituality of Gardening and The Spirituality of Bread (Northstone). She is the author of 11 previous non-fiction books and numerous stories for children.

Jim and Donna delight in their three grown children and daughter-in-law; and in their two-year-old grandson Elijah who has renamed them, respectively, Baba and Nana.
