Peter Short

The Very Rev. Peter Short of Fredericton, N.B., the United Church of Canada's 38th Moderator, is Evangelist for the 137th encampment. Peter's service to and in the United Church has taken him to distant and diverse parts of the country during 25 years of ministry. He has served on the Gaspé Coast, Yellowknife, the city of Montreal, and Fredericton, where he continues in ministry at Wilmot UC. Working mostly in congregations that are in the linguistic or cultural minority has given Peter prolonged exposure to perspectives other than his own. His diversions include biking, music, baking and building canoes. He and Susan, partners for 34 years, are the parents of four children.
